Mission Statement

SEAON is established for the following purposes and objectives:

To advance and promote the art and science of Structural Engineering.
To provide a forum for Structural Engineers to exchange ideas, experience and knowledge.
To provide a social forum where members can meet one another and share ideas and experiences.
To educate the public about the practice of Structural Engineering.
To encourage Structural Engineers to maintain strict ethical standards in their professional practice.
To represent Nebraska Structural Engineers on a state and national basis.
To enhance the quality of services provided by the profession and promote excellence in the practice of Structural Engineering.
To encourage excellence in engineering education.
To promote uniformity of action upon the general principles herein set forth, and upon such policies as may be decided upon from time to time for the good of the profession and the public.

Welcome to the Structural Engineers Association of Nebraska (SEAON). We are a non-profit organization with a membership of Structural Engineers and Professional Engineers who practice structural engineering in Nebraska. Our mission is to promote our profession and to serve our members needs with respect to continuing education and representation to our national organization (NCSEA), government agencies and the general public. We are active in licensing issues and local municipalities adoption of model building codes. See our Membership page for categories of membership and to download the membership application.
